Kasia Bereza
My world fell apart in 2017 when my first and only child was born with a rare genetic condition. As is the case for so many parents of children with this condition, the tumultuous years that followed advocating for my child and setting in place an Education, Health & Care Plan (whilst coming to terms with numerous other challenges along the way) pushed me to the very edge.
Writing was my release, and these are the poems I wrote – of how I almost lost everything and then, entirely unexpectedly, got it back again as my son grew to be the amazing child he is today. So here they are – my angsty poems. I hope they mean something to you as well!
